Finance Assistant - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000
Location: Chester
Industry: Retail
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a dynamic retail business on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with 2+ years of experience in finance and an AAT qualification / studying towards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and management accounts.
* Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
* Support month-end and year-end financial procedures.
* Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audits.
* Use Excel confidently to analyse data and create reports.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Perform ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
Key Skills & Experience:
* AAT qualified with at least 2 years of finance experience.
* Proficient in Excel / Microsoft Office.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Previous experience in the retail industry is desirable but not essential.
