Company Accountant - Salary up to £52k
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Company Accountant to join a dynamic team in Runcorn. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth and financial management of the business.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily activities of two finance team members.
* Full management of AP and AR ledgers, stock ledger, supplier statement reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance.
* Maintain the company's fixed asset register.
* Approve employee expense claims.
* Conduct daily bank reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly Management Accounts with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and control systems.
* Maintain product costings and manage cash flow.
* Administer payroll.
* Liaise with external IT providers on technical issues.
* Submit quarterly VAT returns.
* Manage the annual Statutory Audit and bi-annual stock takes.
* Provide general financial support to other departments.
* Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Candidate Requirements:
* AAT Level 4 qualification with a minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Sage 200 experience is essential.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent IT skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
* Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
* A team player with effective communication skills and the ability to work independently.
* Ability to produce accurate work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Well-organised, proactive, and approachable.
* Reliable, consistent, and professional approach to the work environment.
Salary & Benefits:
* £45,000 - £52,000 per year (Full-time, Permanent, On-site)
