Butler Rose Public Practice is excited to be supporting our client, a well-established accounting firm based in the West Midlands, in their search for an Audit Senior to join their dynamic audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to collaborate with clients and contribute to delivering exceptional results.
Role Responsibilities:
* Work primarily with owner-managed businesses, including sole traders, companies, and partnerships, ranging from small to large entities.
* Gain a thorough understanding of clients' businesses by actively engaging with them.
* Plan, execute, identify risk areas, and finalise all aspects of audit assignments under manager/partner supervision.
* Prepare financial statements and corporation tax computations for review by the tax department.
* Assist and review the work of junior team members, ensuring objectives are met.
* Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
* ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
* Experience in an audit and accounts practice.
* Understanding of regulatory obligations and quality standards.
* Ability to identify and assess risks, implementing effective controls.
* Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
* Good time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A commitment to ongoing development and growth within the industry.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
