VAT Assistant Manager
Coventry
Salary £38,000 - £45,000
Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting one of our well-established clients based in Coventry. This is a great career development and growth opportunity to become a VAT Assistant Manager.
Role Requirements:
* Preparation and review of VAT returns ensuring they are completed correctly and in a timely manner from the financial data processed.
* Manage the filing of the VAT returns to HMRC each month.
* Significant understanding of and previous experience with VAT compliance.
* A good knowledge of VAT technical areas.
* Responsibility for reviewing of VAT returns prepared by other team members.
* Experience using an accounting/compliance software platform.
* Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio.
* Monitoring the VAT workflow across the client base.
* Working with internal staff to provide guidance and advice on VAT issues.
* Any other ad hoc work where required.
Personal Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/ATT/ CTA qualification, or a similar professional qualification (QBE candidates may also be considered)
* Significant exposure to personal and private client tax in a specialist or mixed role.
* Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
* Experience of working in a client-facing role.
* Able to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines.
* Demonstrate accuracy in technical work delivered.
