About
Butler Rose Public Practice Northern Division are delighted to be working with an award-winning firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors with offices across the UK. They have been providing accountancy and financial advice to clients for over 100 years and have certainly moved with the times.

Summary
They are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Tax Manager/ Senior Manager in their Tax Department working closely with the Tax Partners in delivering complex tax solutions to a mixture of private individuals, SME and public sector clients.

Responsibilities

* Regular client contact through attendance at meetings alongside other senior members of the firm and in sole attendance
* Communication with HMRC to seek clearance for tax strategies and assist clients with enquiries and investigations
* Review complex corporation tax computations and provide feedback to the audit and accounts teams
* Review complex personal tax, partnership and trust computation and provide feedback to the tax team
* Review and provide comment on legal documents related to company restructuring, acquisitions and mergers
* Completion of tax due diligence projects

Person Specification

* Provide solutions and reports to the Tax Partners/clients in accordance with timescales
* Assist Tax Partners in reviewing legislation and case law to provide clients with solutions with their tax issues
* Management of a compliance portfolio
* Experienced CTA or ACA / ACCA qualified individual
* Winning, nurturing and growing client relationships
* Experienced in leading client meetings
* Advanced knowledge of Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax
* Experience in providing tax planning solutions to clients
* Training and development of staff within the department and monitor their performance
* Ability to research, interpret and apply legislation and case law
* Strong I.T. skills

Salary

* £50,000 - £65,000, dependent on qualifications and experience
