Assistant Accountant
Location: Newton Abbot
Salary: £27,000

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to join a dynamic team in Newton Abbot. The ideal candidate will assist in managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the overall accounting function of the team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a professional and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records.
* Maintain accounts payable.
* Support the preparation management reports.
* Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Assist with the preparation of VAT returns.
Requirements:
* AAT qualified or similar level of experience
* Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is essential .
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
