Vat Manager
Birmingham
Salary £50,000 - £65,000
Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established Award-winning firm of accountants based in Birmingham that are keen to appoint a skilled and experienced VAT manager.
Role Requirements -
* Act as the central resource for the Firm in relation to all VAT related activities.
* Support clients across a range of client types and industry sectors.
* Develop strong and long-lasting relationships with clients by building trust and through regular communication.
* Build and develop strong internal relationships with Partners and business areas in order to identify and leverage VAT opportunities from within the Firm's existing client base.
* Increase the external profile of the Firm's VAT offering, with the support from the marketing and business development team.
* Begin to introduce new clients to the Firm.
* Train and develop colleagues to increase their understanding of VAT risks and opportunities.
Personal Requirements -
* Excellent VAT technical knowledge across a broad range of industries.
* A strong commercial approach to winning and delivering work.
* Genuine ability and desire to build relationships within the Firm.
* Confident and competent at delivering presentations and training.
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
* Relevant professional qualifications (CTA/ACA/ACCA).
