Assistant Accountant
South Somerset
Up to £33,000
Butler Rose is partnering with a South-Somerset based business to recruit for a permanent Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent full-time basis.
Working closely with the Head of Department, responsibilities for this Assistant Accountant role will include:
- Month end closures, journals & balance sheet reconciliations
- Report on accruals and prepayments
- Assist with Cashflow forecasting & budgeting
- Support with audits
- Provide support and cover for Sales & Purchase Ledger colleagues when required
To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you will have had previous exposure to the above duties. You will need to have strong Excel skills (SUMIFs, LOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) to succeed in this role and working towards an Accountancy qualification is advantageous though qualified-by-experience candidates will also be considered.
This Assistant Accountant role is full time and office-based. The company also offers relevant study support so this role would particularly suit someone who has either been an Assistant Accountant or Accounts/Finance Assistant and is keen to take the next step in their career.
