Semi Senior Accountant
Birmingham
£28,000 - £30,000
Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client a well-established firm in Birmingham looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join its Accounts team at the forefront of delivering excellent client service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant to progress to a managerial position.
Responsibilities
* Accounts preparation for Ltd Companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships & Charities
* Preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT returns
* Preparation of management accounts
* Attending client meetings
* Overseeing the work of more junior accountants
* Completing tax computations for both personal and corporate clients
* Communication with HMRC
* Accounts Administration
* Assisting with the training and development needs of the more junior accountants
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in Practice
* AAT qualified/part-qualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience
* Experience of cloud-based software such as Xero and QuickBooks is preferable
* Ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy
* Good academic background
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong analytical and numeric skills
* Excellent Excel skills
