Job description
Butler rose are partnered with a fantastic well know business based in the outskirts of Carlisle. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a great well-established team in a successful business. The job will be part of the Finance Department to provide support to the Financial controller and Finance Director. To keep accurate and up to date records of the company's banking transactions. Support to ensure that the Company reports its financial results in an accurate and timely manner for both internal and external purposes and support managers in maximising the return on resources utilised.


Your new role as Management Accountant:

Your duties will include:

Preparation of monthly reports for review, communication and analysis

All aspects of month end reporting to the shareholders and cost centre managers

Staff management and development of 2 direct reports

Act is a key business partner to a wide range of stakeholders within finance and cross-functionally

Working closely with the UK Financial Controller to understand impact of Operational performance on UK result

Monthly VAT and Intrastat submissions

Assisting with the preparation and review of annual budgets

Apply a continuous improvement ethos towards all processes and assist with the development and redesign of various reporting and analysis tools

Manage and control customer pricing

Administration of agent commission agreements ensuring all accruals and subsequent payment are in accordance with contractual agreement

Manage HMRC requirements

Liaising with both Internal and External auditors

Acting as key support for UK Financial controller, providing cover when required

Acting as the financial lead on various cross functional projects as required

Other ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required





The Experience & Qualifications Required:

The successful Candidate shall be/have:

Fully Qualified Accountant, or part qualified nearing completion

Strong analytical skills

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

High level of Microsoft Excel skills including competency in dealing with high volumes of data, SAP experience preferred but not essential

Proven commercial acumen within a manufacturing or engineering organisation is desirable

A salary of up to £40,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience
25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays

Hours Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm or 8.30am-5pm

Option for 1 day per week hybrid working
